“I had severe back pain and sciatica with pain down my leg, ankle, and “pins and needle” sensations in my feet. The pain would wake me up often during the night. I had severe spinal stenosis and knew I would probably need an operation. I had had several epidural steroid injections which helped only briefly. Pain medications didn’t help and I didn’t like how I felt with them. I heard that acupuncture might be helpful.
With the acupuncture the symptoms decreased and I definitely slept better. It relaxed my whole body. It prevented me from having to take pain medications which would have made me sleepy during the day. The acupuncture with Dr. Netter carried me through two years before I had the operation. Because of the acupuncture during those years I was able to play golf and tennis and walk. It helped me stay strong.”

“Depression, anxiety, chronic constipation, Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome and lethargy were my maladies when I began mind-body medicine therapy with Beth. With dietary changes, immediately the constipation and discomfort of IBS were eliminated. I learned breathing and meditation techniques and learned about natural energy and sleep cycles. With this I am now anti-depressant free and sleep soundly without any sleep aids. Mind-body medicine really works.”

When I arrived at Beth’s (Dr. Netter’s) office I was exhausted, scared, malnourished, frequently shaky from low blood sugar, fairly constantly jittery from stress and mal-nourishment, frequently extremely bloated and in pain, and not able to eat very much at all.
She listened to me and to my concerns about how this problem was affecting my life. I felt heard. She told me that we would work in partnership to heal my problems. She agreed that I would have final control over what went in my body (this is important to me because in the past I’ve taken prescription medications that fixed the current problem but caused a further, major problem down the line.)
Dr. Netter had concrete suggestions that didn’t involve a drug. She offered me nutritional support in the form of vitamins and greens supplements, probiotics, and nutritional enzymes, and she gave me suggestions on what and how to eat. She gave me emotional support by being willing to have me email weekly updates as to my condition - and she responded! She also recommended practices, massage therapy, and a meditation class to help me relax, and to help heal my stomach. I finally felt heard and cared about, and like I finally met a real healer. She helped me replace my fear with hope.
I am a new person. My energy levels are back, as is my confidence. The bloating and pain are gone 98% of time. The volume of what I can eat is back to normal and I am starting to experiment to expand what I eat - which means I can travel again! I feel healthy & nourished. This has given me my life back!

1. When I first met with Beth I was impressed that the time she had scheduled for my first visit was 1 ½ hours. I never felt rushed then or in subsequent visits. Unlike any other doctor I have ever seen, she holds me gently in her heart, is fully present, genuinely interested in and concerned for my highest and greatest good, and exhibits no ego.
2. Within three weeks of following Beth’s regimen my blood pressure had dropped significantly, the swelling and pain of osteoarthritis had improved. (Even my bunions stopped hurting!) My sinus congestion was less and even my dry eye syndrome had improved-my use of over-the-counter eye drops went from four times a day to once or twice a week. In four months I was completely off the prescription medication and my blood pressure readings are perfect.
3. The change in diet that Beth suggested has made me feel physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually much healthier. It was so helpful to be given a shopping list, recipes and helpful hints about the changes.
4. The use of a mantra and the idea of a one-minute meditation between each activity on busy days have made a great difference in my energy level and sense of peace.
5. I like that Beth treats me like a valued person, with respect and dignity, and has me take responsibility for my own health.
6. I am a retired RN and am currently studying to become a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. As a nurse, I helped people stay alive-now I want to help them learn to live a better/healthier quality of life. I have been interested in alternative/complementary therapies for years, having studied and practiced Therapeutic Touch and Shiatsu. Beth’s guidance and teaching is helping me in this learning process.

In my initial visit I was looking for some guidance in lowering my cholesterol in a natural way. Beth suggested a multitude of supplements, meditation, and an anti-inflammatory diet. We spent over one hour together, and I found myself telling her things about my personality and experiences that I have never told anyone. I really felt empowered when I left the office.
She is a very kind and caring person, and an excellent listener. My cholesterol was in fact lowered by 20 points in about 6 weeks. I am sleeping better, and I am starting to feel more energetic. I was not happy with the medical model of prescribing cholesterol- lowering drugs to everyone with elevated cholesterol, even though mine was only mildly high. The drug I was taking did not agree with me. I am sure that the fish oil and plant sterols are highly responsible for lowering my cholesterol, as my diet has never been particularly high in fat. I also have practically eliminated dairy products from my diet. I like the Bach Remedies, as I feel they help elevate my mood and help me to sleep more soundly. I now have some tools that I can use to make me a healthier and happier person.

Beth is my meditation teacher, and her extraordinary intuitive guidance has been transformative: I sleep better, I make better and wiser decisions, my emotional life is more serene. In the face of recent major surgery, she guided my meditation practice so that I was able to heal better and faster and without complications.
To me, healing is everything, on every level--spiritual, physical, emotional, and for that I am truly grateful to Beth for her teaching and ongoing support.

Dr. Netter gently guided me to enhance my meditation practice. This has proven to be the single most effective way for me to cope with life’s “curve balls.” Dr. Netter has not only supported me as a patient but she has helped me grow to better care for myself. The care Dr. Netter has provided I would say is truly integrative.
She non-judgmentally treats me as a whole. I have been able to integrate her recommendations into my lifestyle easily. I can honestly say that Dr. Netter has supported me in my path to achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Beth Netter helped me prepare emotionally for my operation. She listened to me, and with exquisite insight, said just the right thing to turn my thinking around to a positive direction. She made suggestions that would benefit me before, during and immediately after the surgery. I was able to face the surgery in an empowered and relaxed state, thanks to interventions.
