Beth Netter, M.D., is a graduate of the University at Buffalo’s School of Biomedical Sciences. She did her residency training in anesthesiology and high risk obstetric anesthesiology at Harvard University’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and served as director of obstetric anesthesiology and staff anesthesiologist at Memorial Hospital in Worcester.

It was while she was practicing anesthesiology that she felt inspired to discover more natural and holistic ways to support people in feeling healthy and happy. She now practices holistic mind-body medicine which includes medical acupuncture, meditation and breathing therapies, and strategies for wellness and pain and stress reduction.

Along with patient care, Dr. Netter is also dedicated to promoting physician, nurse, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant health. She is Chairman of the Medical Education Committee at The American Meditation Institute in Averill Park, New York.

The American Meditation Institute's Heart and Science of Yoga Holistic Mind-Body Medicine course is accrediated by The American Medical Association through Albany Medical Center to provide CME and CUE credits to for those physicians and nurses taking the course. The Institute's founder and course leader, Leonard Perlmutter, has been practicing yoga science for over 32 years and is author of the award-winning book: 'The Heart and Science of Yoga.'

Participants will learn meditation, yoga, aand breathing practices along with educational structures to help promote their health and happiness (as well as that of their patients). Classes are held throughout the year and the course is a healthcare practitioner retreat at the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts every November.
